Warehouse power and LED high-bay lighting
Low-voltage distribution and LED high-bay lighting for a 9,000 m² logistics warehouse, controlled by daylight and presence sensors.
Electrical installationsOverview
A combined power and lighting fit-out for a 9,000 m² logistics warehouse: low-voltage distribution laid out around the racking, and LED high-bay lighting controlled by daylight and presence sensors.
The brief
The lighting had to suit tall racking aisles and a working floor, while the retrofit of older fittings needed to happen with minimal disruption to ongoing operations.
What we did
How we did it
Lighting design
We designed the high-bay layout around the racking aisles and the working floor to give even, usable light levels.
Power distribution
Low-voltage distribution and final circuits were installed to feed lighting and equipment.
Controls
Daylight and presence sensors were set up so lighting dims or switches with conditions and occupancy.
Changeover
Legacy fittings were removed and the installation tested, certified and handed over with minimal downtime.
Outcome
The warehouse runs on efficient, well-controlled lighting that responds to daylight and occupancy, with noticeably lower lighting energy use and better light on the picking floor.
