Reinforced retaining wall and site masonry
Reinforced retaining structure stabilising a sloped plot for a new-build house, with natural-stone facing, drainage and landscaping masonry.
MasonryOverview
A reinforced retaining structure to stabilise a sloped plot for a new-build house, finished with natural-stone facing and tied into steps and landscaping walls across the grounds.
The brief
The slope and groundwater had to be controlled to secure the terrain above, while the visible faces needed a natural-stone finish in keeping with the house.
What we did
How we did it
Groundworks
We excavated and formed foundations sized to the slope and the loads above.
Structure
The reinforced retaining structure was built and backed with drainage to manage groundwater.
Facing
Natural-stone facing was laid to give the visible faces a finish that suits the house.
Landscaping
Steps and lower landscaping walls were tied in to complete the grounds.
Outcome
The terrain above is secured against movement and water, with natural-stone faces and integrated steps that finish the grounds neatly.
